The Tiger rifle team hosted and defeated Fork Union Military Academy by a score of 982-958. Top shooters for Hargrave were Vaughan Nunn at 251, Payne Nunn at 249, Garrett Peterson at 243, and Nick Houck at 239. Overall, all shooters continued to show improvement.

The Rifle Team shot well again, but came up short. The team shot a 955 to a 989. The top shooters were Vaughn Nunn with a 244 followed by Payne Nunn with a 239. Nick Houck shot a 238 and Garrett Peterson shot a 229. All of the shooters shot over 200 again this week. We are getting better with every match. The cadets are pleased to know they are improving but disappointed with the lose. They will be working hard next week to get a win before the season ends.
Rifle Narrowly Edged In Season Opener

The Varsity Rifle team kicked off it's season by hosting Fishbunre Military School. The Match was extremly close, and after a recount, Hargrave was edged 922-921. The top four shooters included two freshmen and two juniors. The Tigers also had seven shooters tallying more that 200 points.

The Tiger Rifles were "smokin" on the firing line. They fired their highest match score of the season. For their "building year", the team finished the regular season with a 994.7 match average. With the exception of one senior, all of our shooters are expected to return next season.
